We have 3 acres of wooded paths and grassy play space for your pup. Playtime at no extra charge. Complete off-leash facility.
Nature’s Acres Kennels is known throughout the Portland area for being a five star resort for dogs. No matter which boarding option you choose, your dog will get plenty of outdoor time for play. Fully climate controlled, our facility offers air-conditioned comfort during the warmest months and thermostat-controlled heat during the cold season. Please visit us and take a tour of our facility to see which kennel best suits your dog’s needs.
We book up fast! We recommend that you make your reservation in advance. To make a reservation, please call (503) 666-4800.
Our facility is almost entirely off-leash, meaning dogs don’t “go for walks” when they are with us. They run around freely, within the safe boundaries of the kennel and with expert supervision of our staff.
Our facility has two on-site caretakers and someone is at the property 24-7. With a hard-wired monitored fire alarm system, you can rest assured that your dog will be safe and secure during their stay.
All of our canine friends enjoy one on one personal attention during the day as well as their socialized playtime with their new friends. With twice-daily outdoor walks in our fully contained three-acre dog park, each outdoor walk is 30-45 minutes of fully supervised and individualized playtime at no extra charge, depending on the occupancy of the kennel. Playing with other dogs and our dog-loving staff offers your pet ample opportunities to run, enjoy themselves and tire themselves out.
Boarding
Things to know to make the most out of your pet's stay.
What should I bring?
No need to pack your pet’s sleeping bag! We supply each canine guest with a fresh bed every day. If you choose, you are free to bring your own food and we will maintain special dietary needs, per your request, at NO additional charge.
For your convenience, we do not require that you provide your own food when your pet comes to stay with us. Here at Nature’s Acres we serve a Lamb and Rice Premium Dry Kibble to all of our dogs at up to $4.50/per day with exceptions for exceptionally large dogs. Our food is of the highest quality. Dogs are fed twice per day or per your instructions. Every dog has a Custom Care Card for their stay.
Double Boarding
If your dogs are unable to eat together, they will need to be boarded separately.
What are the vaccine requirements?
For the safety and comfort of all the dogs in our facility, we require that all dogs be up to date on the following vaccines:
- Rabies vaccine – This vaccine must be administered by a licensed veterinarian. Puppies under six months are exempt.
- Distemper/Parvo – If your pet is not current we can save you an office visit. You can pick this vaccine up at any feed and farm store and we will administer this free of charge. We do not keep it on site.
- Bordetella (kennel cough) – We offer an intra-nasal inoculation on site for a $15 charge. To ensure the health of your dog(s), we err on the side of safety and require a Bordetella vaccine to be no more than six months old. This treatment must be completed 2 weeks prior to boarding dates if not done within the last six months.
For the protection and comfort of all dogs we recommend all pets receive a flea and tick treatment. This is not required but highly recommended.
Do you have a mealtime schedule?
When it comes to mealtime, we try to keep your dog on the same schedule you have at home. We serve a Lamb and Rice Premium Dry Kibble to all of our dogs at up to $4.50/per day with exceptions for exceptionally large dogs. However, if you prefer, you are welcome to bring your pet’s own food as well and we will feed per your instructions and maintain special dietary needs at NO additional cost. We have a refrigerator for any food that requires it.
Do you administer medications?
We administer any medications that your dog requires at no additional charge.
Do you have a checklist?
Here is a handy list you may want to consider bringing along with your dog for his or her reservation:
- The name and number of your vet clinic in case of emergency.
- An emergency phone number in case we need to contact you.
- Any medications that your pet needs. We will administer medication, including shots.
- If you choose, you are free to bring your own food and we will maintain special dietary needs, per your request, at NO additional charge. If you choose not to bring your own food, we serve a Lamb and Rice Premium Dry Kibble to all of our dogs at $4.50/per day.
Is the perimeter secure?
With three fenced areas for the dog to run and play, and no-dig fencing around the perimeter, our kennel provides a secure area in which your dog can experience freedom.
